Presumably, however, the end will come much sooner. The next impact of an asteroid, which led to the extinction of the dinosaurs, is also statistically overdue. Only the next time, humans would be affected. But at present it is even more likely that we inhabitants of the Earth will succeed in making our homeland uninhabitable ourselves. Climate catastrophe, overpopulation, nuclear war - these are just some of the conceivable scenarios. Technical progress, such as artificial intelligence or genetically modified viruses, could also become a threat to humanity. While some stick to the street to prevent the worst, others give up on the planet and look for the next possible way into space. Which is the right way? Grade: 4 About the piece: In 2021, it will be 10 years ago that the Nordbayerische Brass Band, a selection orchestra of the Northern Bavarian Music Association in Germany, was founded. Mainly active as a conductor, but I was also able to enrich the brass band with my compositions. With this fanfare I thank this wonderful band and their organizers from the bottom of my heart. The wooden bow tie, now the band's trademark, connects the brass band with my roots as a woodwind player. Über das Werk: 2021 ist es 10 Jahre her, als die Nordbayerische Brass Band, ein Auswahlorchester des Nordbayerischen Musikbundes in Deutschland, gegründet wurde. Hauptsächlich als Dirigent tätig, durfte ich die Brass Band aber auch mit meinen Kompositionen bereichern. Mit dieser Fanfare bedanke ich mich von ganzem Herzen bei dieser wundervollen Band und ihren Organisatoren. Die Holzfliege (Wooden-Bow-Tie), mittlerweile das Markenzeichen der Band, verbindet die Brass Band mit meinen Wurzeln als Holzbläser.

Werkbeschreibung: Ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich ein Werk über Corona schreiben möchte, und ob es dieser kleine Virus überhaupt verdient hat erwähnt zu werden? Aber genau genommen ist es auch keine Komposition über den Virus und die Pandemie in den Jahren 2020 und 2021. Nein, es ist vielmehr der Aufbruch in einen neuen Lebensabschnitt. CHILDREN OF TIME - Kinder der Zeit, beschreibt den Wiedereinstieg ins gemeinsame Musizieren, den Neubeginn der Orchester- und Bandkultur, das Wiederaufleben der Brass Band und Blasorchester Szene und die pure Freude an der Musik. From the local mountain, popularly known as the Veitsberg, you have a unique all-round view of the beautiful valley. The Saint Vitus Chapel is framed by linden trees that are over 200 years old. These are considered to be the largest closed lime tree group in Europe. A place with history: Formerly a sacrificial site from Celtic times. According to legend, a fratricide happened here. Out of remorse, the malefactor asked for a sign and pounded his staff into the ground. The first linden tree is said to have grown out of this. „Reconciliation or Forgiveness" (from bar 121) is also a good keyword for the Musikverein Ebensfeld e.V. Due to differences of opinion, the association split up in 1971. Since then there have been two independent music associations. In 2012, the reunification finally succeeded with the new name Musikvereinigung Ebensfeld e.V. "At the Gate of God`s Garden" was commissioned by the Musikvereinigung Ebensfeld e.V. with its conductor Kathrin Motschenbacher in spring 2023. Donated by Paul Gartenschläger on the 150th anniversary of the wind band music in Ebensfeld. WERKBESCHREIBUNG: Ebensfeld - „Das Tor zum Gottesgarten“. Vom Hausberg, der im Volksmund auch Veitsberg genannt wird, hat man einen einmaligen Rundumblick auf das schöne Maintal. Die Sankt-Veits-Kapelle ist umrahmt von Linden, die über 200 Jahre alt sind. Diese gelten als die größte geschlossene Lindengruppe Europas. Ein Ort mit Geschichte: Früher eine Opferstätte aus keltischer Zeit. Hier soll einer Sage nach ein Brudermord passiert sein. Der Übeltäter habe aus Reue um ein Zeichen gebeten und seinen Wanderstab in die Erde geschlagen. Daraus soll die erste Linde entwachsen sein. „Versöhnung oder Vergebung“ (wie im Werk ab Takt 121) ist auch ein gutes Stichwort für den Musikverein Ebensfeld e.V. Aufgrund von Meinungsverschiedenheiten spaltete sich der Verein 1971 auf. Seitdem existierten zwei eigenständige Musikvereine. Im Jahr 2012 gelang dann endlich die Wiedervereinigung mit dem neuen Namen Musikvereinigung Ebensfeld e.V. „At the Gate of God`s Garden“ entstand im Auftrag der Musikvereinigung Ebensfeld e.V. mit seiner Dirigentin Kathrin Motschenbacher im Frühjahr 2023.
