PROGRAM NOTES: 
"Grab your sword and come with me! The adventure is calling us - Take your sword and come with me! Adventure is calling!” An idea that not only fascinates children, but also adults. How gladly would we spontaneously leave everything behind and set off into the unknown. Let's imagine it would be possible immediately. Let's go to a land full of adventure, danger and magical creatures. We meet a lonely dragon, make friends for life, overcome some challenges, but never forget our homeland. The instrumentation lets every register come into its own. Care was taken to ensure that the level of difficulty is approximately the same in all voices, so that no one is overwhelmed or underwhelmed. Additional instruments such as bass trombone, melodic percussion or piano enrich the overall sound of the orchestra, but are not absolutely necessary. Depending on the level of performance, the orchestra can also take the 4th movement a little slower than notated from bar 10, because the continuous eighths ensure that the overall energy of the movement is preserved. Each movement is different in character. The percussion is sometimes used in concert and sometimes in a "pop" style (3rd movement) in order to make the overall work varied and interesting. I wish all children and adults a lot of fun with my latest composition for youth wind orchestra. In this sense: "Grab your sword and come with me!"
