  BIOGRAPHY

Mathias Wehr (*1984) studierte Klarinette an der Musikhochschule Nürnberg und Blasorchesterleitung an der Universität Augsburg. Mit 23 Jahren gewann er den offiziellen Titel "European Conductor of the Year 2008" bei den 4. European Conductors Championship in Norwegen. Nur ein Jahr später gewann er den Silbernen-Taktstock beim World Music Conductors Contest in Holland. Als Komponist und Chefdirigent verschiedener Orchester gewann Mathias Wehr bereits international zahlreiche Preise. Als Juror und Gastdirigent arbeitet Mathias Wehr mit Blasorchestern, Brass Bands und Flötenorchestern in ganz Europa zusammen. Für sein musikalisches Engagement bekam er die Kulturpreise der Städte Schwabach, Fürth und Forchheim verliehen. Seine Kompositionen werden europaweit zur Aufführung gebracht und erscheinen beim Musikverlag Frank in der Schweiz.

Mathias Wehr (*1984) studied clarinet at the Musikhochschule Nürnberg and conducting at the University of Augsburg. Only a year later he won the Silver Baton at the World Music Conductors Contest in Holland. As composer and chief conductor of various orchestras, Mathias Wehr has already won numerous international awards. As a juror and guest conductor, Mathias Wehr works with Windbands, Brass Bands and Flute-Orchestras all over Europe. For his musical commitment, he has been awarded the culture prizes of the cities of Schwabach, Fürth and Forchheim. His compositions are performed all over Europe and are published by Musikverlag Frank in Switzerland.
